We often take the little things for granted.  If you are striving for better efficiencies, planning ahead for bad weather is an important part of the process.  What do you do when it is raining outside?

Zip lock bag? Oh brother.... :)

I use the iPad Mini and have the iPhone 6s. Both are in lifeproof - Nuud, cases. Drop protection and completely waterproof, no film or plastic between you and the screen, except for the original screen protector film I put on at purchase. The other great thing about the cases is that the edge makes holding them/using them in our work, much easier. I appraise in the rain, North of Seattle, often and never think about it. dry it off with a little car towel when back in the rig.

I also use the iPhone for my GPS while hiking/climbing, used it last year on Mt. Baker and Rainier. With the case it's totally bomber (no worries).

Get good rain gear. Need a new mountaineering shell from Arcteryx, but the $$ makes you faint? I need a rain coat for work and that one will do just fine. Hello deductible expense!

Rain coat, hat, tablet and Disto and the rain is no bother.
